purpose

To develop software on the Castrum platform following Agile software practices. The work will involve a mixture of team and individual based development projects adding to the Castrum Product Suite using a number of technologies.

As a Junior Developer, you will get the chance to work in a professional, driven development team. You will develop software on the Castrum platform following Agile software practices. The work will involve a mixture of team and individual based development projects adding to the Castrum Product Suite using a number of technologies. As you will be expanding your experience within the business, Castrum will provide endless opportunities to learn new skills, whilst enhancing existing ones

knowledge, experience and skills required

Key Skills

The techy bits:

  • Looking for an ambitious junior developer with a minimum of 1 year of commercial hands-on, development experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Some exposure to .Net and C# would be desirable.
  • Some exposure to relational database systems such as MS SQL Server would be desirable.

The commercial bits:

  • Jobholder is likely to hold a relevant degree in Computing, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering but this is not essential.
  • Knowledge of programming skills is essential for this role. It would be advantageous if you have completed projects in your own time using skills you have gained.
  • Basic understanding in principles, methods and techniques for documenting standards such as programming standards, quality standards, etc.
  • Takes a logical, analytical approach to problem solving and pays close attention to detail.
