Within the UK, DS Smith has a regulatory requirement to provide Annual Duty of Care certificates for customers and service providers. Its Castrum solution has streamlined the publication and authorisation process for these certificates, thereby greatly increasing compliance rates and reducing costs.
Moving forward, DS Smith Recycling wishes to extend its Castrum solution to further enhance interactions with customers and suppliers. As part of the revised contract, Castrum will introduce additional functionality to include:
- Electronic Forms
- Document Collaboration
- Management Dashboards
Furthermore, it is likely that a number of integrations will be configured between existing DS Smith Recycling UK systems and the secure Castrum API.
Mark Brooks, CEO at Castrum, commented:
“We have enjoyed working with DS Smith over the last 3 years and are delighted that they have chosen to renew their contract with us. Whilst the new functionality is certainly exciting, we also plan a number of enhancements to the existing solution that will see it deliver further benefits in the coming months.”
John Parry, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager at DS Smith Recycling UK, added:
“Castrum provided an excellent service over the course of the previous contract and, whilst we did undertake a competitive review at renewal time, they remained a clear favourite in terms of the existing service and our plans for the future.”
