Dorset CCG Deploy Castrum Secure Discussions Portal For New NHS Federation

Castrum, the UK’s leading supplier of secure, cloud collaboration solutions, today announced the deployment of a secure Discussions Portal for the Dorset CCG.

The recent development of practice federations within the NHS has introduced a need for clinical staff to share and discuss a wider range of associated information.

Castrum’s proven platform includes the ability to host flexible Discussions using the same permission model that’s so popular in shared document environments.

This exciting deployment pulls together all of the Poole Bay Locality Practices and provides a highly secure, central location for exchanging information and ideas. As part of the project, Castrum introduced some additional functionality to meet with the federation needs, including the ability to attach encrypted documents to discussion posts.

Mark Brooks, CEO at Castrum, stated

“We very much enjoy working with the NHS and our solutions seem to fit extremely well with their typical requirements. Security is of course a primary concern, but we have also worked extremely hard to enhance ease of use and flexibility.”

Dr Andrew Rutland, Locality Chair, commented

“The Castrum solution includes all of the functionality that we felt would be required for this particular project. From previous experience with Castrum we feel confident that our information remains highly secure, yet easily accessible for clinical staff. We very much look forward to exploring the platform further in the coming months.”
